Job description
The Expert – Operations Performance in Abu Dhabi, UAE is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of operational projects by developing plans based on logical framework approaches and monitoring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs). The role includes reviewing project scopes, deliverables, and timelines, resolving operational issues, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, strategies, and procedures. This position requires active engagement with stakeholders to understand requirements, maintain smooth operations, and support multi-division projects. The Expert is accountable for proper project documentation, tracking deliverables via master schedules, and conducting metrics reporting and data analysis to identify issues and opportunities for operational and process improvements. The role also includes participation in HSE reporting, including hazards, near misses, and incidents, and representing the business unit in cross-functional initiatives. Effective interaction with equipment and infrastructure service suppliers and customers is required to support project development strategies and execution plans. The position contributes to operational excellence and performance optimization within the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Develop project plans based on logical framework approaches to ensure timely delivery of operational projects.
- Monitor project progress, key performance indicators, and adherence to project timelines, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Review project scopes, deliverables, and timelines, providing guidance and advice to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Engage stakeholders, understand their needs, and resolve operational issues to maintain smooth project execution.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies, strategies, and procedures.
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis to identify areas for process and operational improvement.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, including signed paperwork and tracking of deliverables.
- Create and maintain master schedules for projects to monitor due dates, metrics, and challenges.
- Report and manage HSE hazards, near misses, and incidents as part of operational oversight.
- Represent the business unit in multi-division projects and contribute to strategy execution and operational planning.
- Coordinate with equipment and infrastructure service suppliers for timely project delivery.
- Engage with customers and their representatives to support project development and execution plans.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Project Management certification is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience in project performance monitoring and operational excellence.
- Strong skills in metrics reporting, data analysis, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in project documentation, scheduling, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to identify and manage HSE hazards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
