Job description
Master Works is seeking a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master with over 5 years of experience leading Agile delivery initiatives. This role involves managing the full cycle of Agile project execution, from sprint planning and facilitation to performance monitoring and stakeholder alignment. The successful candidate will serve as a servant leader and Agile coach, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within development squads. As a key member of the PMO, the Project Manager / Scrum Master will implement SAFe Agile practices, guide teams through Scrum ceremonies, and coordinate cross-departmental communication to ensure project alignment with business objectives. The position demands a proactive, analytical leader who can balance technical understanding with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to drive efficient, high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Plan, monitor, and manage multiple sprints to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of SAFe Agile principles across development teams.
- Collaborate with delivery managers to maintain alignment between project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Collect, analyze, and report Agile metrics to track team performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.
- Provide Agile coaching and mentoring to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work closely with leadership to identify and implement strategic improvements to Agile processes and delivery frameworks.
- Ensure transparent communication between technical teams and business stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and issues.
- Monitor sprint outcomes and ensure teams are adhering to Agile best practices.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to remove impediments and ensure efficient workflow across teams.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe frameworks, principles, and best practices.
- Proven experience leading Agile delivery teams and managing multiple parallel sprints.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills with a focus on servant leadership.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in metrics-driven performance tracking and process improvement.
- Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience using Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms).
