The Senior Field Service Engineer PMS at ABB in Doha, Qatar is responsible for executing medium to high complexity service work in accordance with ABB guidelines and work instructions, delivering superior customer service, and contributing to customer satisfaction and retention. The role focuses on the installed base, identifying opportunities to improve system and operational performance. This position supports ABB’s Energy Industries division, working within the PAEN-Qatar framework, and involves coaching technicians and engineers, supervising complex site activities, and driving new service business opportunities in collaboration with customers and internal ABB teams. The engineer applies deep technical expertise in System and Solutions 800xA, IEC61850, AC800M, PMS/ELICS/EMCS, industrial networking, network switch configuration, and industrial communication protocols such as IEC104, Modbus RTU & TCP, OPC, and IEC61131. The position includes responsibilities related to testing, commissioning, engineering documentation, and optionally ICS cybersecurity. The role contributes to ABB’s mission to deliver safe, smart, and sustainable industrial projects and operations in oil and gas, energy, power generation, and other sectors, enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, and safety, while supporting digitalization and automation initiatives in industrial environments.
