Job description
ADNOC's Upstream business spans several operating companies, ADNOC Drilling and other service companies, and each of them submits budgets and financial plans that need a careful second look. That review sits with this Senior Specialist at ADNOC HQ in Abu Dhabi, working with the BLD Planning & Performance Team under guidance from the Group F&I Directorate. Consolidated BLD financial plans, budgets and the 5-year business plan are developed, aligned and monitored here. Group Company submissions get an initial assessment, variance analysis and feedback, and BPC reports such as budget vs actual and budget utilisation are prepared alongside them. Policies, systems and procedures are reviewed for compatibility with the concession and other agreements and generally accepted accounting principles. Audit support is another strand, coordinated with Group F&I Internal Controls. Monthly Upstream performance reports are consolidated and analysed, and you explain the variances and recommend remedial action to management. Capital project planning, reporting on ADNOC's Sole Risk & Upstream Directorate budgets and complex ad-hoc models round out the work, along with supervising and training assigned staff. Ten years in accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning is expected, with good knowledge of English and Arabic and of ERP and budget systems such as BPC and SAP.
