Job description
The Engineer VAS Services role (Business Unit: edara, Location: Dubai International Academic City) manages the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and full project lifecycle for VAS, Roaming, Signaling and Digital Enablement nodes, including planning and raising CRs, CCRs, DCR, and TFs form in IBM Maximo on time and aligning details with all stakeholders. The position engages at early stages with planning to set target dates that meet company deliverables and business requirements, discusses implementation issues with vendors, and manages vendor teams as Project Manager to drive end-to-end delivery until handover to Service Operations. The engineer contributes to technical requirements of RFPs and reviews/analyzes vendor responses, manages implementation of network nodes and upgrades/expansions of domain nodes, supervises and performs acceptance testing execution, and coordinates closely with CORE, operations/IP, ISRM, and IT to achieve company goals and objectives. Responsibilities include reporting all implementation activities for VAS, Roaming, Voice and Digital Enablement to management; participating in RFP and RFI/RFQ stages to define solution implementation requirements and evaluate options with planning teams; and issuing PRs, PACs, and FACs, ensuring realization as planned. The role requires a minimum BSc in Electronics/Telecommunication or Computer Science; minimum 12 collective yearsâ Telecom experience; preferred knowledge of Digital Enablement, VAS, Signaling and Roaming domains; advanced technical skills and hands-on experience in configuration, system architecture, implementation, and project management; ability to work on multiple concurrent projects; and strong troubleshooting, time and resource management, and report analysis skills. - Implement new network nodes and manage upgrades/expansions across domain nodes in scope
- Supervise and perform acceptance testing execution and document outcomes for project closure
- Collaborate with CORE, operations/IP, ISRM and IT to align designs, integrations and operational readiness
- Report implementation activities and progress for VAS, Roaming, Voice and Digital Enablement to management
- Issue and track PRs, PACs and FACs, ensuring realization according to plan and governance
Experience & skills
