Job description
AI Systems Engineer role focused on building an AI-powered operating system (Ops OS) for schools within an EdTech environment based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position involves designing and developing intelligent, event-driven systems that support school operations including timetabling, staffing, student success workflows, operational processes, and quality loops. The role requires embedding AI capabilities alongside strong product engineering skills to build production-grade internal tools, data pipelines, dashboards, and intelligent workflows used by students, teachers, school staff, and internal operations teams. The engineer will work directly with operational teams, school leadership, and internal stakeholders to understand real-world, complex, and messy operational problems before translating them into scalable software systems. The role emphasizes rapid prototyping and shipping functional systems from problem discovery to production using modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Replit. The engineer is expected to design systems that operate as feedback loops (data → insight → action → feedback → improved data), ensuring continuous improvement of educational operations. The role requires building user-focused products with strong UX using technologies such as React, TypeScript, Supabase, and APIs. The engineer owns end-to-end delivery of solutions including problem identification, solution design, implementation, deployment, and adoption tracking. The position is part of a fast-scaling education platform expanding across Saudi Arabia, aiming to support hundreds of schools with intelligent operational systems that enhance learning outcomes and operational efficiency.
