Job description
The Manager – Performance Management & Quality at Omantel is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate performance management framework and leading the development and implementation of its quality strategy. Based at Omantel’s Head Office in Muscat within the Strategy & Innovation Unit, this role ensures organizational alignment with corporate objectives through performance tracking, KPI monitoring, and strategic reporting. The incumbent will evaluate departmental performance against established targets, consolidate data for CEO and Board of Directors review, and ensure corrective measures are implemented when deviations occur. Additionally, the manager will drive the company’s quality vision and mission by formulating annual quality compliance plans and ensuring that all departments adhere to quality standards and best practices. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support strategic program implementation, monitor progress of initiatives, and enhance organizational performance culture. The position requires strong expertise in project management, business process improvement, and operations oversight, coupled with the ability to develop actionable insights and ensure continuous quality enhancement aligned with Omantel’s strategic goals.

- Monitor Omantel’s corporate performance management framework and reporting requirements.
- Review and refine KPI tracking methodologies to ensure comprehensive performance monitoring across departments.
- Analyze departmental KPIs to assess alignment with corporate strategy and highlight performance trends.
- Oversee the implementation of strategic programs and initiatives and report on progress to senior leadership.
- Measure overall company performance against defined targets and prepare consolidated reports for the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Identify major deviations from strategic goals and collect proposed corrective actions from relevant departments.
- Develop Omantel’s quality vision, mission, and long-term quality strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Review and manage the annual quality compliance plan covering all quality and assessment activities.
- Ensure appropriate corrective action plans are designed and executed when quality discrepancies or performance gaps are identified.
- Promote adherence to quality management principles and continuous improvement across departments.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, with a specialization in Accounting & Finance preferred.
- Possess 6–8 years of relevant work experience in performance management, quality assurance, or strategy execution roles.
- Demonstrate experience in corporate performance reporting, KPI monitoring, and strategic alignment initiatives.
- Show proficiency in project management, operations management, and business process improvement.
- Ability to oversee quality compliance programs and develop corrective action plans to address performance or process gaps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to interpret organizational performance data.
- Exhibit leadership qualities including assertiveness, change management, and innovation cultivation.
- Familiarity with corporate communications management, monitoring and reporting practices, and strategic planning frameworks.
- Excellent decision-making, ethics, and compliance orientation.
