Job description
Amazon's A-Now team in MENA is building a grocery business from ground zero, and this Instock Manager owns a new category within it. The buying and sourcing strategy for that category is yours to build, then execute without gaps. Getting there means understanding complex business, tech and operations processes at Amazon and its partners, and designing the right engagement model around them. Daily inventory health metrics and accuracy sit at the core of the week, with stock levels tuned to cut excess and aged inventory and shrinkage and damage monitored closely. Historical data drives demand forecasts and recommended order quantities. Operations, transportation and procurement teams are close partners, and inventory issues across networks are escalated and resolved through them. Standard operating procedures, root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and continuous improvement projects all fall under this role, along with coaching team members. Leadership buy-in depends on concise written documents and sound analysis. Expect to bring 5+ years in supply chain, inventory management or project management, 5+ years with Excel and a quantitative degree, with SQL, statistical inventory control and Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma as a plus.
