The Application Engineer – Upstream Chemicals at Baker Hughes is responsible for providing technical expertise and developing technical solutions throughout the pre-ITO process, interfacing with commercial teams. The role includes technical analysis of client needs, defining and optimizing products, creating schedules, industrial schemes, and costing elements in line with contract and internal policies. Engineers calculate plant, system, and equipment performance and efficiency, document technical specifications, and customize products for specific customer requirements (OTR phase). The role involves leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and approaches, connecting cross-functional technologies to develop integrated solutions, and communicating technical strategies and interconnections to senior leaders and across teams.
