Job description
The Sales Manager role at Shiji is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion for hospitality IT solutions across the Middle East hospitality and F&B industry. Founded in 1998, Shiji is a global provider of big data, IT solutions, and data platform services for the hotel, food service, and retail industries, supported by investors such as Alibaba and operating with over 70 subsidiaries in China and continued expansion across Europe, Asia Pacific, and North America. The Sales Manager leverages 6–10 years of experience in hospitality IT sales, particularly within hotel technology, to present cutting-edge solutions that enhance operational efficiency, revenue management, front office processes, and overall guest experience. The role encompasses end-to-end sales ownership, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, achieving sales targets, and managing CRM updates. Responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans, tracking sales performance metrics, managing revenue forecasts, conducting market and partner evaluations, supporting lead generation with marketing, collaborating with pre-sales, marketing, operations support, and project management teams, preparing and delivering sales presentations and demonstrations, maintaining up-to-date product documentation, supporting RFI and RFP processes, translating technical concepts such as API, AWS, cloud solutions, and AI to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and staying informed on international hospitality industry trends while acting as an ambassador of innovation for Shiji’s products and technologies.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand Shiji’s presence in the Middle East hospitality and F&B market
- Identify, research, and prioritize key accounts and prospects to understand business needs and operational challenges
- Lead the full end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through negotiation, contract closure, and post-sale follow-up while updating CRM systems
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients, acting as a consultant on tailored hospitality IT solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that clearly articulate the value of hospitality IT, cloud, and data solutions
- Track sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts, and provide regular reports to senior management
- Collaborate with pre-sales, marketing, operations support, and project management teams to align sales, implementation, and customer needs
- Evaluate and validate partners, qualify leads, review marketing materials, and support solution alignment to customer pain points
- Manage proposal and deal qualification processes including quote verification and documentation control
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product enhancements, integration projects, RFI and RFP processes, and international hospitality industry trends
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Possess 6–10 years of hands-on experience in marketing or selling hotel IT solutions within hospitality and F&B sectors
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of property management systems, revenue management strategies, and hotel operations
- Be comfortable explaining technology concepts such as API, AWS, cloud solutions, and AI to technical and non-technical audiences
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Communicate fluently in English and Arabic, with additional languages considered an advantage
- Show evidence of certifications or additional training in hotel technology or operations as a plus
