Job description
The Senior Product Manager - Marketplace Health at Careem in Dubai is responsible for leading the Marketplace Health Squad, focusing on optimizing supply-demand dynamics across Careemās multi-vertical platform including Food, Quik, and Mobility. The role ensures marketplace balance, operational efficiency, and scalable growth by managing key metrics such as fulfillment rate, cancellations, idle supply, order wait times, captain utilization, and order per hour (OPH). The position requires deep expertise in product management, data-driven decision-making, and marketplace optimization strategies including dynamic pricing, incentive systems, batching, allocation algorithms, and demand-supply balancing mechanisms. The role involves close collaboration with Data Science and Engineering teams to build forecasting models, elasticity models, and market simulation tools, as well as embedding machine learning-driven solutions into real-time systems. The Senior Product Manager designs and executes A/B experiments to validate hypotheses and improve product performance while translating complex analytical insights into actionable product strategies. The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with SQL, experimentation frameworks, and data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau. The candidate leads cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, analytics, and operations teams, ensuring a unified roadmap and balanced trade-offs between growth, customer experience, and profitability. The position demands ownership of high-scale, real-time systems in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and strong stakeholder management capabilities to drive measurable business impact.

- Own marketplace health metrics including fulfillment rate, cancellations, idle supply, and order wait times
- Design and implement strategies to balance demand and supply using pricing, incentives, batching, and allocation algorithms
- Develop forecasting, elasticity modeling, and market simulation tools in collaboration with data science teams
- Drive demand and supply shaping initiatives including promotions, pricing strategies, and supply activation mechanisms
- Improve operational efficiency metrics such as captain utilization, OPH, and customer conversion rates
- Design and execute A/B experiments across incentive, pricing, and routing initiatives
- Translate data science insights into product strategies and integrate ML models into real-time systems
- Lead cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, analytics, and operations teams
- Represent marketplace trade-offs in leadership discussions balancing growth, experience, and profitability
- Foster experimentation-driven culture and ensure measurable impact across initiatives
Experience & skills
- 6ā9 years of experience in Product Management or related roles
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or quantitative field (MBA preferred)
- Experience in marketplace optimization, dynamic pricing, or incentive systems
- Strong experience working with data science and engineering teams
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation platforms, and metrics-driven decision making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets
- Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau
- Experience managing high-scale, real-time systems in fast-growth environments
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
- Ability to drive execution in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
