Job description
GEMS Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to join its leadership team in Abu Dhabi for the upcoming academic year. This role is key to supporting the Principal in managing school operations, shaping a positive and inclusive culture, and leading strategic academic initiatives. The Vice Principal will work closely with staff, students, and parents, ensuring educational excellence through robust curriculum support, effective performance evaluation, and disciplined student management. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in educational leadership, a deep commitment to student development, and the vision to contribute meaningfully to the schoolâs ongoing success.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and programs.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, safe, and happy school culture.
- Support teachers in curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Engage with parents, students, and the community to promote school initiatives.
- Provide strategic leadership for teaching and learning to drive academic excellence.
- Manage student discipline and ensure a safe school environment.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide professional development opportunities.
- Engage with the schoolâs regulatory body and GEMS Corporate as required.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs and/or Masterâs degree with a teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years of teaching experience, with 5 years in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong and effective leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare; police clearance required.
