Job description
Huda Beauty is seeking a Packaging Development Manager to lead the design, development, and industrialization of premium, sustainable, and innovative packaging solutions for its fast-paced beauty product lines. This role is vital to ensuring brand alignment across aesthetics and performance, managing both internal and external stakeholders to execute end-to-end packaging strategies. Based in Dubai, the Packaging Development Manager will oversee technical feasibility, supplier collaboration, cost optimization, and quality compliance, while also driving forward innovation and sustainability initiatives across the packaging lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development of high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions from concept to production.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and industrial validation for packaging designs.
- Collaborate with product development to ensure packaging-bulk compatibility.
- Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with contract manufacturers to resolve technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and CAD models for suppliers.
- Drive innovation by researching market trends and integrating emerging technologies in packaging.
- Lead sustainability efforts including material selection and recyclability strategies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and perform testing in partnership with the Quality team.
- Support cost optimization initiatives through value engineering and supplier evaluation.
- Oversee tooling, mold analysis, and production line trials for packaging validation.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cosmetics/beauty packaging development.
- Expertise in packaging materials, injection molding, manufacturing, and decoration processes.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks or KeyShot; 3D prototyping experience preferred.
- Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic packaging regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset and proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
