Job description
This role within J.P. Morgan’s Payment Control team offers the opportunity to drive significant strategic and regulatory initiatives across the MEA region. The MEA Payment Control Manager will partner closely with Business, Operations, Technology, Product, and Control teams to ensure risk mitigation and control framework implementation across payment operations. This is a Vice President-level role based in Riyadh with full-time on-site responsibilities, reporting within the Commercial & Investment Bank's centralized control organization.

Key responsibilities
- Engage with senior leadership and committees to validate and assess priorities across WP controls teams.
- Identify and manage risk to delivery of end-to-end target operating model strategies.
- Deliver high-quality, consistent executive reporting and analytics to support business decisions.
- Create and deliver executive communications, metrics, and status reports.
- Oversee all controls impacting Payments in the MEA region including front line, operational, and technology controls.
- Facilitate regional governance forums and act as key escalation contact when necessary.
- Partner with testing teams on control framework testing programs, including location product reviews.
Experience & skills
- Relevant industry experience, ideally coupled with business management and financial experience.
- Payment operations experience required.
- Ability to synthesize information into clear executive summaries.
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including data manipulation and quantitative analysis.
- Ability to work in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
- Self-starter mindset with proactive approach to improving processes.
- Proven ability to manage through change in a high-pressure environment.
- Technical and analytical skills required, with ability to assimilate fragmented data.
