Job description
Role focused on planning, evaluating, onboarding, and accepting new telecom network across Access and Transport domains in alignment with the Yearly Plan; responsibilities include participating in the RFP process, network Design, Development, and lab testing to ensure proper evaluation of all new network; maintaining regular progress reports to Network Operations; proactively engaging in negotiation with key partners; defining, maintaining, and updating end-to-end processes for evaluation and boarding of all new network to minimize risks of outages and post-boarding cost overruns; ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory, statutory, and in-company governance requirements; defining standards of service and SLAās for the unit aligned to business objectives; coordinating and supporting Security Risk Assessments and associated Risk Management reviews for the entire Service Operations team; acting as Domain Risk Advisor for Service Operations in coordination with security teams; evaluating VA Scan reports and coordinating with the planning team to mitigate vulnerabilities related to telecom and IT systems; ensuring compliance of software upgrade and patching process for all network nodes and systems; serving as Service Operations SPOC for Internal Control Observations raised by internal audit teams; supporting administratively and functionally in ad-hoc and regular organizational audits and other improvement projects across people, processes, and systems; operating within a telecommunications / hi-tech environment under ISO/TL9000 Framework and ITIL Framework, with a business context linked to Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du, Virgin Mobile) and its governance landscape.

Key responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of evaluation and boarding activities of all new network according to the Yearly Plan
- Ensure proper evaluation of all new network by participating in the RFP process, Design, Development, and lab testing
- Keep Network Operations up to date with regular progress reports
- Engage proactively in negotiation with key partners when needed
- Define, maintain, and update all processes related to evaluation and boarding of all new network to minimize outages and post-boarding cost overruns
- Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory, statutory, and in-company governance requirements
- Define standards of service and SLAās for the unit in line with business objectives
- Coordinate and support Security Risk Assessments and associated Risk Management reviews for the entire Service Operations team

Experience & skills
- Hold a minimum Bachelor degree in computer, electrical, network Engineering or IT (any telecom equivalent)
- Bring 10ā15 years of experience in the telecommunications / hi-tech industry
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ISO / TL9000 Framework
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ITIL Framework
- Show proven ability to lead large transformation projects
- Demonstrate ability to lead teams and groups
- Exhibit analytical thinking with effective problem solving and decision making
- Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
- Show strong negotiation and facilitation skills
- Provide a proven track record of managing vendors
- Provide a proven track record in governance and financial management
- Be fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
