The Clinical Specialist - Cardiovascular (Electrophysiology Systems) at Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Jeddah, KSA operates within the MedTech Sales function under Clinical Sales – Surgeons (Commission) as a Lead Representative supporting cardiovascular solutions focused on heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. The role is field-based and responsible for delivering expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the effective use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment, including The CARTO® System, associated software modules, and RF generator, during case procedures within an assigned geography. The position involves educating customers on electrophysiology products through in-service training, providing technical and clinical information to optimize usage, and applying consultative selling techniques to identify sales opportunities within accounts. The specialist creates awareness of electrophysiology solutions, facilitates Territory Sales Manager engagement with key decision makers, and supports incremental business growth. Responsibilities include maximizing customer case support capability through effective planning and scheduling, maintaining open communication with local team/Pod members such as TM and other CAS, as well as support roles including Ultrasound CAS, FSE, and RBD. The role requires developing mutually beneficial relationships within and beyond the EP Lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, hospital administrators, and staff. The specialist must remain current on product IFU (Instructions for Use), technical troubleshooting, relevant scientific clinical literature, and new product information. Administrative duties include managing account documentation, compliance training requirements, expense reporting, Company system input, maintaining Safe Fleet standards, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental practices, and adhering to Federal, State, local and Company regulations. The role requires experience in the Cardiovascular field, specifically within Electrophysiology section or CRM, direct patient support in a Cath Lab, proficiency in English, availability for emergent patient care, and the ability to travel 80%+ within the region.

Key responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance to physicians and EP Lab Staff during case procedures, supporting effective use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment including The CARTO® System, associated software modules, and RF generator within the assigned geography.
- Educate customers on electrophysiology products by delivering in-service training, technical and clinical information, and hands-on case support to optimize product utilization and improve patient outcomes in EP Lab and Cath Lab settings.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to identify sales opportunities within accounts, create awareness of electrophysiology solutions, facilitate Territory Sales Manager engagement with key decision makers, and drive incremental business growth.
- Maximize customer case support capability through structured planning and scheduling, maintain collaboration with local Pod members (TM and other CAS) and support teams (Ultrasound CAS, FSE, RBD), and develop best practice sharing across KSA Field Sales and Service colleagues.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, hospital administrators, and clinical staff, while engaging in diagnostic dialogue with stakeholders to formulate solutions based on clinical and business needs.
- Stay current on product IFU (Instructions for Use), scientific clinical literature, new product information, and technical troubleshooting protocols, and respond daily to customer and partner requests via email and voicemail.
- Perform administrative responsibilities including managing account documentation, compliance training requirements, expense reporting, Company system input, maintaining Safe Fleet standards, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Experience & skills
- Hold a University/bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Engineering or CVT and demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cardiovascular field, specifically within Electrophysiology section or CRM.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience providing direct patient support in a Cath Lab and EP Lab environment, with the ability to support physicians during case procedures and respond to emergent patient care situations.
- Exhibit proficiency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, EP Lab Staff, hospital administrators, and internal business partners.
- Maintain availability for emergent patient care and demonstrate flexibility to travel 80%+ within the assigned region to provide field-based clinical and technical support.
- Demonstrate ability to manage account documentation, compliance training, expense reporting, and Company system input while adhering to Federal, State, local and Company regulations and Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
