Job description
Telecom commissioning on an onshore mega EPC project in Abu Dhabi is the focus of this Superintendent role with KBR's PMC team. Although the title points to telecom, much of the posted scope describes commissioning leadership for the sales gas and condensate area, so expect responsibility for progress across that area as well. Pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, along with commissioning manuals from the EPC contractor and vendors, come to you for review. Licensors and vendors are kept closely involved so that activities follow their guiding procedures. Mechanical completion certificate requirements are verified for each system and subsystem, and readiness is confirmed before MC and RFSU certificates are issued. Punch list close-out in your area needs your approval, and troubleshooting sessions draw on your experience when commissioning hits obstacles. Guidance flows from you to the commissioning team, the EPC contractor and subcontractors, with advice and support going up to the Senior Commissioning Manager. At least 20 years in commissioning or operations readiness is required, including 5 in a similar position on oil and gas or petrochemical projects, ideally with sour gas, hydrogen production or hydrodesulfurization work and GCC experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
