Job description
Leads the launch, certification, and ongoing enhancement of Emirates NBDâs merchant acquiring business across POS and e-commerce channels in UAE and KSA. Owns end-to-end scheme integration, payment gateway onboarding, processor coordination, product enhancements, and commercialization initiatives. Ensures compliance with scheme requirements, drives innovation through emerging technologies including AI, and positions the bank as a leading acquirer through competitive offerings and seamless merchant journeys.

Key responsibilities
- Lead integration and certification with Visa/Mastercard and other schemes for UAE and KSA
- Manage scheme host certifications, POS terminal certifications, and required vendor engagements
- Coordinate with internal risk, compliance, onboarding, and IT teams to align on scheme requirements
- Work with processors and payment gateways to design onboarding flows and transaction workflows
- Ensure smooth ONUS transaction routing and TMS oversight with processor
- Define product roadmap, backlog, and enhancements for POS and e-commerce acquiring
- Identify new payment methods and emerging industry trends to enhance product capabilities
- Drive gateway onboarding processes with partners, local authorities, and internal teams
- Develop pricing strategy, pricing templates, and commercial models
- Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to maintain competitive proposition
- Implement risk frameworks, NPPA guidelines, and scheme compliance controls
- Evaluate AI capabilities for development automation and autonomous decision-making
- Monitor scheme policies, risk assessments, and certification renewals
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in technical or IT engineering; Masterâs in Marketing or Finance preferred
- 6+ years of experience in product, partnerships, or project management roles
- Experience in digital products, user journeys, and contract negotiations
- Previous exposure to Visa/Mastercard scheme processes is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of digital onboarding, front-end applications, and payment workflows
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High capability for multi-tasking and managing complex technical integrations
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
