Job description
The Manager β Finance (Supply Chain) role is responsible for supervising the entire finance function for the Group Supply Chain, encompassing governance across fashion and ecommerce verticals with a focus on operating expenditure, total capital expenditure including large technology investments, and sea freight. The role is designed to consolidate and stabilize finance activities across supply chain operations, providing structured oversight, governance, and financial discipline. The position involves long-term investment planning, financial modeling, budgeting, and cost optimization initiatives, while establishing strong control mechanisms and exploring automation opportunities for management information systems, reconciliations, and financial computations. The role manages relationships with internal stakeholders such as departments, brands, and retail teams, as well as external vendors, and serves as a replacement for an existing senior finance manager moving internally within the group. The position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and supports group-level supply chain finance decision-making.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the end-to-end finance function for Group Supply Chain covering governance for fashion and ecommerce verticals, operating expenditure, capital expenditure including large technology investments, and sea freight
- Formulate and review long-term investment plans including ROI, payback periods, and cash flow analysis, and evaluate investment justifications using technical knowledge
- Prepare detailed budgets and financial models incorporating key supply chain performance metrics and drivers for operating and capital expenditure
- Track actual financial performance against budgets and provide analytical insights to stakeholders
- Conduct reviews of cost optimization initiatives aligned with defined business targets
- Explore and assess automation opportunities for management information systems, financial reconciliations, and other financial computations
- Establish and maintain appropriate control mechanisms within financial processes and related governance frameworks
- Manage relationships with internal clients including departments, brands, and retail teams, as well as external vendors
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 6β8 years of professional experience across supply chain, finance, or project-related roles
- Apply strong experience in financial governance, budgeting, capital expenditure management, and financial analysis within supply chain environments
- Bring prior business experience as a value-added qualification
- Hold a CA qualification or a Masterβs degree from a top university, preferably IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, or ISB
