Job description
The Director of Sales for the Smart Energy Business at Honeywell will lead daily sales operations across the META region, overseeing strategy development to grow sales, revenue, and profitability. This role includes managing pipelines to achieve double order targets including NPI, implementing efficient Management Operating Systems (MOS), defining go-to-market strategies for direct vs channel sales, and supporting business development for partner channels. The role is accountable for regional pricing strategy, localization and partnership programs, and infrastructure investment. It requires working within a matrixed organization, managing high-performing sales teams, driving cross-functional collaboration, and reporting key forecasts to executive leadership. Industry experience in industrial manufacturing, and sales of IoT and metering solutions for utilities is critical, with ability to manage regional sales complexity and build strategic customer relationships across electricity, gas, and water utility sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Lead daily sales operations of the Smart Energy business in META to achieve order targets
- Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth and profitability in line with regional goals
- Coordinate with ISC to ensure revenue delivery and customer satisfaction
- Drive pipeline development to 2x of order targets including for new product introductions (NPI)
- Implement MOS to focus on orders, revenue, and profitability metrics
- Drive product-specific growth initiatives in partnership with global marketing
- Define and implement go-to-market strategies, managing direct and channel sales models
- Support business development activities with partner channels to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Improve commercial experience metrics via cross-functional collaboration and targeted actions
- Coordinate development of performance goals for functions and direct reports
- Oversee tactical project and program development to achieve strategic business goals
- Lead key customer relationship activities and market engagement across META
- Make hiring decisions and lead talent development across SME business in META
- Evaluate investments in infrastructure and strategic projects within the region
- Report forecasts and sales performance to senior management
- Engage with strategic marketing and executive leadership to guide planning
- Develop and lead regional localization and partnership initiatives
- Define and execute pricing strategies across all lines of business
- Represent the company in key stakeholder meetings and strategic partnerships
- Ensure delivery quality and customer satisfaction of SME offerings in the market
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās Degree in Management, Sales, or Engineering (Masterās or MBA preferred)
- Possess over 10 years of sales and operations experience, ideally within industrial manufacturing
- Demonstrate strong P&L management and accountability experience
- Prove ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing sales teams
- Show capability to influence and negotiate effectively within matrixed organizations
- Display strategic and tactical planning skills aligned with business execution
- Have experience managing key accounts and delivering demonstrable sales results
- Prove ability to execute tactical and strategic initiatives that impact global plans and operating profit
- Demonstrate cross-cultural and multilingual communication experience
- Be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time
