Job description
Offshore detailed engineering projects carry significant contractual exposure, and this position exists to protect Worley's commercial and legal interests as EPC Contractor from award through to close-out. It starts at tender, with ITT document reviews, risk identification, contract deviation lists and support on pricing strategy and negotiations. Once the EPC Contract is signed, you will set the contract baseline, lead the kick-off meeting and put contract management procedures and controls in place. Change management takes up a large share of the work, covering Variation Notices, Requests for Change, Change Orders, amendments and claims, each assessed for entitlement and commercial exposure. Subcontracts for engineering services are drafted and administered here too, with terms flowed down from the main contract. Monthly Payment Certificates, EPC Contract Administration Reports and Subcontract Administration Monthly Reports (SAMR) are all issued from this desk. Insurance requirements, Performance Bonds and Bank Guarantees need to stay valid and compliant throughout. Where disputes arise, the work extends to negotiation, mediation or arbitration, followed eventually by final accounts and closure certificates. Candidates need a Bachelor of Engineering and 20 years in oil and gas on mega projects, especially in the GCC.
