LikeCard Group is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Advisor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to safeguard the company’s regulatory standing and operational integrity across multiple jurisdictions within the E-Commerce, FinTech, financial services, and telecommunications ecosystem. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to business units by ensuring that operations, partnerships, and new initiatives comply with applicable regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. The position requires extensive engagement with regulatory compliance and risk management practices, including monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting regulations and circulars issued by central banks, financial regulatory authorities, telecom regulators, and data protection authorities. The advisor will translate complex regulatory requirements into practical policies, procedures, and internal controls for cross-functional teams including Risk, Product, Operations, Marketing, HR, Commercial, and Finance. The role includes maintaining and updating a compliance portal or intranet, developing and implementing a risk-based compliance monitoring program, and performing periodic testing of key compliance controls such as Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC), transaction monitoring systems, and partner onboarding processes. The candidate will utilize tools such as sanctions screening and PEP screening tools including World-Check and LexisNexis Bridger, and ensure adherence to AML/CFT compliance frameworks and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) requirements. Additional responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis, preparing compliance monitoring reports, tracking corrective actions, delivering training programs, issuing compliance communications, and performing due diligence on telecom operators, banks, payment gateways, and merchants. The role also requires preparing reports for senior management, Board of Directors, and regulators, and demands strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, regulatory analysis, compliance reporting, and internal controls within a high-risk, multi-industry regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory requirements and circulars issued by central banks, financial regulatory authorities, telecom regulators, and data protection authorities
- Provide risk and compliance advisory support for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and partnership agreements involving telecom operators and banking institutions
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical policies, procedures, and internal controls for Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams
- Maintain and update the internal compliance portal or intranet to ensure access to current policies, procedures, and regulatory updates
- Develop and implement a risk-based compliance monitoring program in collaboration with the Risk Department including testing of Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC), transaction monitoring systems, and partner onboarding processes
- Identify regulatory, operational, and financial risks, perform root cause analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Prepare detailed compliance monitoring reports and track implementation of corrective actions across departments
- Coordinate with HR to design and deliver compliance training programs and targeted sessions for high-risk teams
- Issue compliance communications to inform employees of regulatory updates and internal policy changes
- Conduct risk and compliance due diligence on partners including telecom operators, banks, payment gateways, and merchants
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management, Board of Directors, and regulators as required
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field, with a Master’s degree or relevant professional certification considered a strong advantage for advanced regulatory and compliance expertise.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory roles, with practical exposure to regulatory compliance frameworks, operational risk management, and advisory functions across business units.
- Possess industry experience within FinTech, payment institutions, e-commerce platforms, banking or financial services, or telecommunications, ensuring familiarity with sector-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exhibit strong technical expertise in Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC), transaction monitoring systems, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), ensuring the ability to detect, analyze, and report suspicious financial activities in line with regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with sanctions and PEP screening tools such as World-Check and LexisNexis Bridger, along with a solid understanding of AML/CFT compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Apply proficiency in developing and implementing compliance monitoring programs, conducting control testing, performing root cause analysis, and establishing internal controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite effectively and demonstrate strong technical and platform awareness, including experience with compliance portals and transaction monitoring systems for reporting and operational tracking.
- Demonstrate fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate regulatory requirements, prepare reports, and interact with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
