Job description
Responsible for the delivery of all Finance services in the Middle East with entities in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. The Finance Country Head is a key business partner and works with business and functional leads to achieve Northern Trust's goals in the region. This role includes oversight of all finance functions, regulatory reporting, capital and liquidity management, governance, and coordination with external stakeholders. The role requires excellent people management, financial control, and leadership capabilities within a regulated financial services environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversight of all business finance activities for global finance function heads, regulators, and stakeholders
- Lead the Finance function to achieve the Corporation's objectives
- Report on Finance matters to management and governance bodies including Boards
- Manage preparation and completion of financial statements and regulatory submissions in KSA and Abu Dhabi
- Ensure integrity of financial information and regulatory reporting for regulated activities
- Support local payroll and related administrative activities
- Manage allocation and maintenance of capital, funding, and liquidity
- Oversee control and governance arrangements within the Finance function
- Ensure infrastructure supports compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with Capital Markets Authority, External Auditors, and government bodies
Experience & skills
- Qualified Accountant with expertise in financial control and reporting
- Experience in financial services, preferably banking
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills with attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication across different audiences
- Flexible approach to process changes and variable workloads
- Decision-making capability with problem resolution experience
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and external auditors
