A shift at Flavours on Two, the restaurant at Towers Rotana in Dubai, starts with setting up the outlet to match the meal period and opening hours. Guests are welcomed and seated with the Hostess's help, and regulars get to know you through a friendly, professional relationship. Behind that, schedules are built from the forecast and the staffing guide so there is always enough manpower on the floor. Training sessions follow departmental SOPs, and performance reviews feed into internal development and promotions. Frequent walk-throughs of the outlet and related areas keep cleanliness and maintenance standards high. A database of regular guests needs building and updating, and promotional activities need your active involvement. All of this serves two goals, high customer satisfaction and financial targets met or beaten. A college or university degree and at least two years in a similar role are required, along with computer literacy, strong English and good presentation skills.
