The Medical Science Liaison – Dermatology role within Johnson & Johnson Medical Affairs Group is responsible for maximizing company product value through high-quality scientific communication with Leading Specialists across the Immunology therapeutic area with focus on Dermatology. The position involves acting as a therapeutic area scientific expert engaging in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, board members of scientific societies, and other healthcare stakeholders. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical studies, treatment trends, and product-related scientific developments, while communicating scientific data aligned with approved product labeling and non-promotional research and development updates. The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining a network of leading specialists, understanding treatment patterns, conducting formulary discussions, and communicating the value of company products. The position includes organizing and participating in medical education programs, advisory boards, speaker identification and education, and collaboration with scientific third parties. The role supports Medical Affairs study execution including registries, interventional and non-interventional studies, investigator selection, recruitment follow-up, and study result presentation. The Medical Science Liaison also provides scientific support and product training to sales representatives, responds to unsolicited scientific queries, collaborates with Medical Advisors, Medical Leads, and Medical Directors, and represents the company within therapeutic area professional associations. The role requires flexibility to travel within Saudi Arabia and operate in a field-based environment, with deep expertise in Immunology and Dermatology, scientific research, clinical trials, medical data interpretation, stakeholder engagement, and medical communications to support Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine strategy.

Key responsibilities
- Act as therapeutic area scientific expert in Immunology and Dermatology by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical studies, treatment trends, scientific developments, and patient management approaches while engaging in peer-to-peer scientific discussions with physicians, pharmacists, hospital managers, and scientific society board members
- Develop and maintain strong scientific relationships and contact networks with Leading Specialists, understand treatment patterns, scientific activities, key value drivers, and practical clinical needs within the therapeutic area
- Communicate scientific and medical information regarding company products within approved label, provide non-promotional information about research and development programs, and respond to unsolicited scientific queries using Medical Affairs and Medical Information documents
- Organize and participate in medical education activities including identifying speakers, supporting education programs, collaborating with scientific third parties, and participating in advisory boards in cooperation with Medical Advisor, Medical Lead, and Medical Director
- Provide scientific support and medical training to sales representatives, act as reference point for scientific queries, and collaborate with Medical Information and Training Department to ensure accurate product knowledge dissemination
- Support Medical Affairs study execution including registry setup, interventional and non-interventional studies, investigator identification, site selection, recruitment follow-up, investigator meetings preparation, and study results presentation
- Represent the company in professional associations within Dermatology and Immunology therapeutic areas while fostering innovative scientific engagement and promoting medical benefits of company products
- Travel across Saudi Arabia in a field-based role, maintain stakeholder engagement, contribute to Medical Affairs plan execution, and support achievement of short-term and long-term business and scientific goals
Experience & skills
- Hold Pharmacist or Physician qualification including B.Pharm, PharmD, MD, or MBBS with relevant scientific background in Dermatology or Immunology therapeutic areas
- Possess minimum 1 year experience in multinational pharmaceutical company with Medical Science Liaison experience in Dermatology considered advantageous
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Immunology therapeutic area with focus on Dermatology including clinical trials, treatment trends, and scientific research
- Exhibit strong scientific acumen and ability to engage Leading Specialists in peer-to-peer scientific communication and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrate experience in Medical Affairs activities including advisory boards, medical education programs, investigator studies, registries, and scientific communications
- Maintain flexibility to travel within Saudi Arabia and operate in field-based role with approximately 80 percent field engagement
- Show experience in interpretation of medical data, clinical trials, market research, and medical communications within pharmaceutical environment
- Demonstrate proficiency in data reporting, analytics dashboards, medical compliance, product knowledge dissemination, and stakeholder collaboration within matrix organizational structure
