Job description

Known for iconic resorts such as the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah redefined Arabian luxury and experiential travel. An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director – Global Brand Communications and PR to join the Jumeirah Group & Corporate team. The role involves leading global communications strategies, managing agency relationships, driving media engagement, overseeing influencer programs, and ensuring unified messaging across the brand. This is a high-impact position requiring leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in luxury brand storytelling.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of integrated global communications and PR strategies aligned with Jumeirah’s business objectives.
- Ensure brand consistency and impact across markets.
- Drive performance and strategic direction of appointed communications agencies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with luxury, travel, and lifestyle media to ensure optimal brand positioning across key markets.
- Oversee the use of Launch Metrics and other analytics tools to track media coverage, influencer performance, competitor visibility, and campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare monthly reports to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate ROI.
- Act as a key liaison between Global Brand Communications and property-level PR teams.
- Ensure unified messaging, elevated storytelling, and consistent brand visibility across hotels, dining, and wellness destinations.
- Support the execution of the global influencer program to ensure strategic alignment and measurable impact.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand recognition through prestigious industry awards.
- Inspire and guide communications team members by fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Support crisis communications readiness.
- Contribute to onboarding high-potential talent aligned with Jumeirah’s values.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, English Literature, Marketing or similar – Essential.
- Minimum of 8 years in brand communications and public relations.
- Minimum of 2 years in a managerial position.
- Experience of working with luxury brands, preferably hotels or hospitality.
- Strong relationships with a broad range of media.
- Proven track record in delivering brand communications and PR programs that captivate the media.
- Experience of working both in-house and agency-side.
