Job description
The Senior Manager - Metering role within The Red Sea Utilities Company (TRSUC), a subsidiary of Red Sea Global (RSG), is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and end-to-end management of metering systems deployed across off-grid dry and wet utility services supporting renewable energy, water desalination, wastewater treatment, district cooling, solid waste management, and telecommunications infrastructure aligned with Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. The role oversees all aspects of utility metering operations including installation, maintenance, calibration, commissioning, configuration, asset management, procurement frameworks, compliance, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment. It ensures integration of smart meters, utility meters, meter data management systems (MDMS), and Head-End Systems (HES), including remote and manual meter reading processes, data transfer workflows, and system reconciliation. The position is responsible for developing strategic metering roadmaps, defining KPIs, implementing regulatory compliance frameworks, and ensuring seamless integration of metering operations with finance, IT, commercial, and utility operations teams. It includes oversight of consumption analytics to identify efficiency improvements, detection and prevention of electricity and water theft or tampering, and management of meter replacement, disconnection, and reinstallation processes. The role also manages firmware updates, field inspections, work orders, procurement activities, vendor coordination, and AMI rollout strategy including pilot testing, infrastructure design, and deployment monitoring. It ensures data integrity across CIS, MDMS, and AMI systems, supports municipal solid waste (MSW) monitoring processes, and maintains operational readiness in energized substations, medium-voltage environments, confined spaces, and hazardous field conditions. The role is also responsible for leadership of technical teams, risk mitigation under ERM policy, compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, and continuous improvement of metering systems and operational efficiency within a large-scale utility infrastructure environment.
