Job description
To support the technology team in defining and managing Masdarās Research and Development (R&D) projects, and perform financial and strategic analysis of Masdarās R&D portfolio with a focus on wind technology and support on other technologies. To assess proposals for clean technologies from external parties and determine whether they are technically feasible, commercially viable, and aligned with Masdarās objectives. Includes supporting pilot project implementation, energy storage, and Power-to-X initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Provide technical and commercial input to commercial energy storage projects.
- Lead Power-to-X projects in alignment with overall strategies.
- Analyze Power-to-X market and recommend viable business models.
- Support implementation of pilot and demonstration projects.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and manage budgets and reporting.
- Perform technology assessments and submit strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to the Masdar Technology Journal and annual Technology report.
- Review and proofread technology articles from an expert perspective.
- Support coordination and administrative tasks within the engineering team.
- Create technical reports and presentation materials.
- Assess clean technology proposals for feasibility and viability.
- Support building relationships with key partners and government bodies.
- Contribute to knowledge management and collaborative R&D initiatives.
- Support BizTalk initiative for cross-division learning.
- Stay updated on technological developments and prioritize R&D interests.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in engineering or natural sciences; Master's preferred.
- 8ā10 years of experience in renewable energy technology assessment and techno-commercial analysis.
- Strong skills in cost benefit analysis and feasibility studies.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MathLab, AutoCAD, Python.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of energy storage, Power-to-X, wind, solar, and emerging technologies.
