Job description
The Business Impact Manager – Defense & Security Task Force role at Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, is based in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates, and operates under a hybrid working policy requiring office presence at least 60% of the time. The role sits within the Business Impact Team (BIT), which supports the growth of Oliver Wyman by enabling business development, strategic, and operational management activities. This high-visibility role supports the strategic and commercial development, operation, and community building of Marsh’s and Oliver Wyman’s Defense & Security (D&S) task force. The position translates the Defense & Security vision into strategic initiatives, performance metrics, and operational plans, supports Oliver Wyman leadership in steering cross-Marsh collaboration, and aligns commercial performance, investments, and people decisions with strategic objectives. The role acts as a thought partner to leadership, orchestrates collaboration across Finance, Business Development, Marketing, Legal, Talent, IT, Knowledge, and Events, and supports strategy roll-out, planning cycles, commercial activities, and operational excellence. Initial deployment is focused on Defense & Security, with potential future redeployment based on business needs.

Key responsibilities
- Support the strategic and commercial development and day-to-day operation of the Defense & Security task force
- Translate Defense & Security vision into strategic initiatives, performance metrics, and operational plans
- Develop and leverage trusted relationships with leadership, teams, and infrastructure functions across Marsh and Oliver Wyman
- Support and deliver periodic strategic planning activities and strategic decision support analyses
- Manage and support commercial activities including key account planning, opportunity management, and pipeline management
- Prepare, facilitate, and follow up on internal meetings, action items, and prioritized business to-do lists
- Execute business operations processes including people management cycles, compliance processes, and internal governance activities
- Identify and implement improvements in strategic, commercial, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead or contribute to internal projects and initiatives within the Business Impact Team and provide coverage as required
- Support ad-hoc initiatives based on evolving business needs
Experience & skills
- Bring 4+ years of experience in professional services, with experience at a leading management consulting firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrate experience supporting Defense & Security or government clients
- Show experience handling confidential and business-critical information
- Possess strong quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Demonstrate familiarity with generative AI and productivity tools as an advantage
- Hold strong academic credentials in Business, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy, Engineering, or Security Studies, with an advanced degree advantageous but not required
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Be eligible for security clearance or have prior security clearance
