The Manager Recruitment (Commercial & Strategic Airline Functions) at Etihad Airways leads talent acquisition for core airline commercial and planning functions, including Revenue Management, Network Planning, Commercial Strategy, Pricing, and other specialist disciplines. Reporting as part of the Talent Acquisition team, the role serves as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, building strong partnerships with business leaders to deploy creative global sourcing strategies and secure niche aviation talent to support the airlineās growth plans. The position combines deep market insight, aviation domain understanding, and hands-on recruiting expertise to ensure Etihad attracts and hires the best commercial and strategic talent. Responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment delivery, workforce planning, assessment and selection of candidates, talent pipelining, and championing an outstanding candidate experience. The role ensures hiring decisions align with Etihadās recruitment standards and leverages structured assessment methodologies, recruitment technology, and global sourcing strategies to maintain a competitive talent advantage. The position also promotes Etihadās employer brand globally, acting as an ambassador for the airline to attract top aviation and commercial talent in a high-visibility and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, hiring plans, and market dynamics, ensuring hiring managers understand and effectively leverage Etihadās recruitment model.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for assigned business areas, from workforce planning to offer acceptance and onboarding, ensuring recruitment delivery aligns with Etihad policies and best practices in partnership with HR Business Partners.
- Develop deep market expertise in the aviation commercial talent market and adjacent industries to provide informed advice on talent availability, competitive insights, and hiring strategies to business stakeholders.
- Design and execute global sourcing strategies to attract specialist aviation talent, leveraging proactive outreach, industry networks, and creative sourcing techniques to build high-quality talent pools.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including candidate assessment, selection, and structured evaluation methodologies, ensuring hiring decisions are fair, objective, and aligned with Etihad recruitment standards.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical commercial and strategic roles to ensure Etihad maintains access to highly specialized talent ahead of business demand.
- Champion the employer brand by positioning Etihad Airways as a destination employer for top aviation and commercial talent globally, enhancing candidate engagement and brand recognition.
- Drive an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring a transparent, engaging, and professional recruitment process, supporting applicants in making informed decisions to join Etihad Airways.
Experience & skills
- Possess a degree in any discipline with 7+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within multinational organisations or complex corporate environments.
- Demonstrate prior experience recruiting for specialist commercial, strategic, or analytical functions, preferably within aviation or closely related industries.
- Exhibit strong understanding of global talent acquisition models, sourcing strategies, assessment methodologies, and recruitment technology, ensuring effective and efficient hiring outcomes.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and advise stakeholders up to senior leadership levels, aligning recruitment initiatives with business objectives.
- Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, or high-volume hiring environments, with a focus on structured, efficient, and compliant recruitment processes.
- Prior experience in the Middle East business environment is advantageous, with familiarity of regional talent dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Training or practical experience in structured assessment methodologies, including competency frameworks or psychometric assessments, is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication skills to interface effectively with candidates, stakeholders, and senior management.
