Job description
The Finance Manager (MEA SPAC) supports the Director of Finance by overseeing payroll processing and the organizationâs accounting operations, supervising Accounting and Payroll teams, and preparing monthly financial reports and required schedules for the hotel. The role ensures accuracy and timeliness of all charges and credits across accounts, plans and prepares expense account schedules, reconciles all Balance Sheet items with subsidiary ledgers, clears contra/clearance accounts monthly, and assists in the preparation of Annual Budgets. The position establishes and monitors internal controls and processes to ensure timely, accurate financial data and reports, researches the effects of changes in law or government regulations on accounting policies and procedures, and identifies optimal, cost-effective use of resources. Operationally, the Finance Manager controls and reviews accounting processes, produces reports and analyses to meet Finance Controller information needs, records, classifies, and summarizes transactions per applicable standards, represents Finance in interactions with employees and external parties, and reviews/signs journal vouchers prepared by Cost Control, General Cashier, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Income Auditor. The role also drives seamless coordination across departments, responds to queries to ensure customer satisfaction, ensures safety training for team members, communicates departmental objectives and policies, and motivates and develops staff to promote teamwork. Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial/accounting reporting systems is required; strong English proficiency and high professionalism with business acumen are expected. Qualifications include a Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting/Finance (CA Inter/ICW completed; CPA an advantage) and a minimum of 6 yearsâ experience in finance or accounting (or 2 years in a similar capacity).

- Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing payroll processing and accounting operations across the organization
- Supervise and guide Accounting staff and Payroll to ensure accurate, timely outputs
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules required by the hotel
- Ensure accuracy and correctness of all charges and credits and timely recording in the accounts
- Plan and prepare expense account schedules and reconcile all Balance Sheet items with subsidiary ledgers; clear contra/clearance accounts monthly
- Assist in preparing Annual Budgets and support effective financial planning
- Coordinate cross-functionally with all hotel departments to maximize productivity and service
- Respond to queries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure team training on safety provisions and communicate departmental objectives and policies
- Identify optimal, cost-effective resource use and educate the team accordingly
- Control and review accounting processes and research impacts of law/regulation changes on accounting policies and procedures
- Establish and monitor internal controls and processes for timely and accurate financial data and reports
- Produce reports and analyses to support Finance Controller information requirements
- Record, classify, and summarize accounting transactions in accordance with applicable standards
- Represent Finance Department in interactions with employees and external organizations
- Review and sign journal vouchers prepared by Cost Control, General Cashier, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Income Auditor
- Serve on cross-functional teams as a Finance representative
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs Degree in Accounting/Finance; Completed Inter level in CA or ICW; CPA is an advantage
- Minimum 6 years of experience in finance or accounting, or 2 years in a similar capacity
- High degree of professionalism with strong business acumen
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant financial/accounting reporting systems
- Proven ability to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records and reconciliations
- Experience establishing and monitoring internal controls and accounting processes
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and resolve queries efficiently
