Job description
The Senior Specialist - Media Relations at Qiddiya Investment Company in Riyadh is responsible for shaping and amplifying the organization’s media presence. The role focuses on creating and executing strategic media relations initiatives that communicate the company’s vision and promote its projects to a wide array of audiences. The position requires a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, and hands-on execution to ensure impactful media coverage and strengthen the company’s reputation in the public sphere.

Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key media influencers to facilitate positive coverage of Qiddiya’s initiatives
- Develop compelling press releases, media kits, and communication materials to effectively convey Qiddiya’s messages and stories
- Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media events to maximize opportunities for media engagement
- Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of media relations efforts, providing insights and reports to senior management
- Stay informed of industry news and trends to proactively identify opportunities for positive media exposure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication channels
- Develop innovative strategies to enhance Qiddiya’s media presence and reputation
- Provide guidance and support to junior communications team members when required
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- 3–4 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or communications, preferably within the tourism, entertainment, or leisure sectors
- Proven understanding of the media landscape with a track record of securing positive media coverage
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a talent for storytelling
- Ability to analyze media trends and derive actionable insights from metrics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinker able to develop innovative media strategies
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a distinct advantage
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain consistent messaging
