Job description

The role is responsible for building the next-generation fulfillment brain for Careem’s delivery operations, owning how orders are pooled, batched, and fulfilled across fleets, verticals, and cities. The position defines long-term strategy for batching, pooling, and complex-delivery optimization aligned with marketplace growth and efficiency objectives. It requires uncovering operational bottlenecks, user pain points, and optimization opportunities using data, experimentation, and market insights, while leading the full product lifecycle from ideation and requirements to testing, rollout, and post-launch iteration. The mandate includes improving efficiency, cost, and speed through enhancements to batch creation logic, pooling algorithms, and dispatch sequencing for complex or multi-leg deliveries. Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, and Operations is essential to design scalable fulfillment systems. The role maintains a clear roadmap balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and technical feasibility, defines and monitors key metrics including batching efficiency, pooling delay percentage, dispatch time, OPH, and CPO, and anticipates and resolves technical or operational challenges to ensure robust rollout and adoption across markets and verticals. Additional desirable capabilities include operations research, optimization expertise, ML-driven product systems, and familiarity with fulfillment orchestration or shipment planning platforms.
