Job description
The Lead Employee Relations role in Qatar is responsible for supporting the development, planning, direction, and implementation of procedures to ensure effective and efficient management of the employee relations function within a large corporate environment. The role focuses on analyzing and interpreting people-related metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to employee relations policies and processes, including employee retention and turnover reduction. The position oversees employee complaints and grievance procedures, manages employee-related programs, participates in resolution of employee relations issues, and gathers information on employee attitudes to enhance satisfaction. The role assists the Employee Relations and Services Manager in supervising ER matters, manages ER work operations including employee evaluation, hiring, termination, exit interviews, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions, and coordinates annual performance appraisal and salary change processes with Talent Development, Payroll, and IT. The role also supports the development, implementation, or review of ERP systems interfacing with other information systems, prepares monthly HR statistics and reports, participates in departmental business and strategic planning, and ensures compliance with established procedures and documentation requirements.

- Develop, plan, direct, and implement employee relations procedures to ensure effective management of the ER function
- Analyze and interpret people-related metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements to ER policies and processes
- Monitor and control employee complaints and grievance handling procedures
- Oversee employee-related programs and participate in resolution of employee relations issues
- Gather and analyze employee attitude data to support employee satisfaction initiatives
- Assist the Employee Relations and Services Manager in administration and supervision of ER activities
- Manage ER work operations including employee evaluation, hiring, termination, exit interviews, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions
- Coordinate annual performance appraisal processes and associated salary changes with Talent Development, Payroll, and IT
- Ensure accurate preparation and issuance of salary change letters and timely payroll updates
- Develop, implement, or review ERP systems interfacing with other information systems
- Prepare monthly HR statistics and required management reports
- Participate in departmental business and strategic planning activities
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant field
- Demonstrate 6–8 years of full-time experience in employee relations within a large corporate environment
- Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle ERP systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications
- Demonstrate experience managing employee relations processes including grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions
- Demonstrate experience coordinating performance appraisal and salary administration processes
- Demonstrate strong written communication skills; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage
