Job description
Grant Thornton UAE seeks a Communications Manager within the Clients & Markets team to shape and protect the firmās reputation, foster engagement, and drive strategic alignment through clear, consistent messaging. The role leads both internal and external communications with a strong internal focus, developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy aligned to growth ambitions, brand positioning, and reputation priorities. Responsibilities include acting as advisor to leadership on tone and narrative, ensuring all communications reflect Grant Thorntonās brand and tone of voice; partnering with a media agency to produce press releases, media statements, interviews, and features; managing media opportunities for Partners and subject matter experts; monitoring media coverage and sharing insights including reputation impact and share of voice; and supporting crisis and issue management with timely, accurate communication and narrative control. Internally, the role leads firmwide communications to build transparency and alignment, crafting leadership messages, announcements, internal campaigns, newsletters, and intranet content; partnering with People & Culture to drive internal storytelling that celebrates people, culture, and milestones; and coordinating townhalls and leadership communications with the Events Manager. The manager collaborates with the content manager to amplify thought leadership, supports senior leadership with speeches, talking points, and authored articles, and works with digital and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging across owned channels (website, LinkedIn, newsletters, internal platforms). As guardian of reputation and public narrative, the role aligns messaging with brand values and market perception, proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen brand equity and community trust, and supports initiatives tied to responsible business, diversity, and Emiratization agendas.

- Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that supports growth ambitions, brand positioning, and reputation priorities
- Advise leadership on tone, messaging, and narrative alignment to ensure consistency with Grant Thorntonās brand and tone of voice
- Collaborate with the media agency to create press releases, media statements, interviews, and features that position the firm as a trusted market voice
- Manage media opportunities for Partners and subject matter experts, including briefings and interview preparation
- Monitor media coverage and deliver regular insights, reporting on reputation impact and share of voice
- Support crisis and issue management with timely, accurate communications and strong narrative control
- Lead internal communications to drive transparency, alignment, and engagement across the firm
- Craft leadership messages, firmwide announcements, internal campaigns, newsletters, and intranet content that reinforce culture and purpose
- Partner with People & Culture to deliver internal storytelling that celebrates people, culture, and milestones

Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorās degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
- Bring 5+ years of corporate communications experience with a focus on internal communications, preferably in professional services, financial services, or consulting
- Demonstrate proven experience managing media relations, internal communications, and leadership messaging
- Exhibit exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and credibly
- Show strong stakeholder management capability with influence and trust-building at senior levels
- Possess strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with Arabic speaking advantageous
- Be able to work effectively both in a team and independently with a proactive, strategic mindset and strong initiative
