Job description
The Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable at Dubai Holding Community Management is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements. The role requires expertise in vendor reconciliation, reporting, compliance with IFRS and tax regulations, and experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Yardi, and MRI. Key responsibilities include overseeing high-volume invoice processing, managing vendor master data, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and guiding junior staff. The role is based at Dubai Studio City - Building 3 and supports the organization’s financial operations across its managed communities and districts.

Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end invoice processing with adherence to approval matrices and policies
- Execute timely vendor payments and ensure accurate recording
- Review and process employee expense reports
- Manage and maintain accurate vendor master data
- Reconcile vendor statements and general ledger accounts
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare accounts payable aging reports and cash forecasts
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and tax regulations
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Identify and recommend process improvements
- Provide guidance to junior accounts payable staff
- Collaborate with Procurement and other departments
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA candidate is a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Experience in real estate or property management preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Yardi, or MRI
- Proficiency in handling high-volume invoice processing and reconciliations
