Job description
The Senior Partner Development Manager (Telco) leads Microsoftâs partner strategy and execution with telecommunications partners to deliver KPIs and accelerate revenue growth across Microsoft Cloud for SMB, Enterprise, and SMC segments. The role drives partner innovation in Teams Mobile Collaboration, Security, Edge Computing, and AI solutions, aligns partner strategy with Microsoft solution plays and fiscal priorities, and ensures program and investment utilization. Responsibilities span building executive relationships across Microsoft and telco organizations, developing and executing Partner Business Plans (PBP), territory planning, maintaining a high-impact Rhythm of Business (ROB), and leading co-sell motions, pipeline acceleration, and robust deal governance. The PDM activates and scales partner practices via Microsoft programs, leads partner transformation across 5G, IoT, and Intelligent Edge, ensures compliance and governance, and champions skilling and enablement via MAPS (Microsoft AI Powered Selling), TechBoost, and Second Nature. Excellence is measured through KPIs including CSP Cloud FRA, E5 Security Billed, and NPSA, with strong emphasis on strategic communication, stakeholder management, and AI-driven business value.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Partner Business Plan (PBP) aligned to Microsoft mission, culture, and targets
- Drive territory planning and partner engagement to deliver measurable KPIs
- Maintain a high-impact Rhythm of Business (ROB) focused on performance and growth
- Build and nurture executive relationships internally and across telco organizations to align sponsors and accelerate joint initiatives
- Align partner strategy with Microsoft solution plays and fiscal priorities
- Lead partner transformation leveraging solution area expertise, AI-driven business value, and innovation in 5G, IoT, and Intelligent Edge
- Activate and scale partner practices via Microsoft programs and investments
- Ensure compliance, governance, and adherence to Microsoft ethical standards
- Lead and accelerate partner pipeline through consultative selling, co-sell execution, and deal governance
- Support top deals and opportunity acceleration to achieve revenue targets
- Connect partners with segment sellers and lead revenue deep dives by solution area
- Execute the MCEM Win Formula using digital platforms, marketplaces, and AI for targeted solutions
- Drive skilling and enablement through MAPS, TechBoost, and Second Nature; promote certifications, specializations, and marketplace readiness
- Lead strategic communication and stakeholder management, and maintain reporting/accountability using KPIs such as CSP Cloud FRA, E5 Security Billed, and NPSA
Experience & skills
- Extensive experience in sales, partner management, business development, and sales strategy with a strong telco focus
- Proven track record building and scaling revenue engines, driving co-sell motions, and meeting aggressive growth targets
- Deep understanding of telco operating models, partner frameworks, and transformation across infrastructure, cloud, and AI
- Demonstrated success engaging and influencing executive management internally and externally
- Experience developing partner ecosystems, including onboarding, enablement, and performance acceleration
- Expertise in Microsoft solution areas and the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing executive-level stakeholder relationships
- Ability to apply AI business value in real-world scenarios and drive personal productivity using AI
