Job description
Emirates NBD is seeking a UAE National to join as an Internal Audit Manager in line with the UAE Government’s strategy to empower and develop nationals. The role supports the Head of Audit/Portfolio Lead in providing internal audit services across Emirates NBD Group functions including Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury, Corporate Banking, Finance, and overall Banking Operations. The incumbent will perform audits, project assignments, and ad hoc reviews to ensure adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of controls and risk management systems. The role also involves driving innovation in audit practices, leveraging advanced analytics, and adopting AI tools to automate processes.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an audit service focused on control environment improvements that protect and enhance the group's financial position and add value to the business/support units.
- Ensure audit findings are supported by facts, drafted per departmental standards, and agreed with management.
- Ensure Internal Audit is contemporary and innovative to drive efficiency and quality of service.
- Maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders.
- Maintain good results from Quality Assurance reviews.
- Drive or participate in department strategic initiatives and innovation programs.
- Contribute towards improvement in audit methodology.
- Use advanced analytics and advanced audit solutions in audits.
- Automate internal audit processes by using AI tools for efficiency.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Recognized Professional Accounting Qualification or Certified Internal Auditor or Financial Risk Manager / Certified Financial Analyst.
- 5+ years of banking/financial services industry audit experience across Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury, Finance, and Banking Operations.
- Good overall knowledge of Banking activities.
