Job description
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC is seeking an Officer – Trade Finance Operations to join its Group Business Services (GBS) function, a core operational unit supporting ADCB’s strategic growth, digital evolution, and commitment to service excellence. The role is responsible for processing trade finance transactions in strict accordance with trade finance policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and approved credit terms and conditions, ensuring error-free execution within agreed turnaround times. The position requires close coordination with relationship teams to obtain required approvals, maintenance of accurate transaction records, reconciliation of accounts, and adherence to organizational, departmental, and regulatory policies and procedures. The role operates within a high-quality, risk-aware banking environment and contributes to delivering exceptional customer experience by applying ADCB Service Standards in all internal and external interactions, while supporting the Bank’s commitment to inclusion, professional growth, and operational excellence.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Process trade finance transactions in accordance with trade finance policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and approved credit terms and conditions within agreed timeframes and without errors
- Liaise with relationship teams to obtain required approvals for transaction handling in line with bank policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records and information related to trade finance transactions and perform reconciliation of accounts in line with bank standards
- Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies, processes, and instructions to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery
- Apply ADCB Service Standards and demonstrate Our Promise in all internal and external customer and stakeholder interactions
- Manage personal performance in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, and practices to maximize contribution to business objectives
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in Trade Finance with working knowledge of banking and accounting systems for core trade products
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification
- Apply strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional banking environment
- Use Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Access effectively in daily operations
- Operate with strong risk awareness and strict adherence to bank policies, procedures, and service standards
