Job description
The HR Technology Lead role is positioned within a leading bank in Dubai, UAE, as part of a forward-thinking HR Digital Transformation team focused on modernizing HR systems, improving employee experience, and driving technology-led process innovation across the HR function. The role involves leading analysis of HR processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and define technology-driven improvement opportunities, while partnering with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design and implement HR technology solutions and digital workflows. The position requires hands-on experience with HR Technology, HR Systems implementation, and platforms such as Oracle HCM, Workday, and SAP SuccessFactors, alongside a strong understanding of Core HR systems, Payroll systems, Recruitment systems, and Talent Management systems. The HR Technology Lead supports implementation of HR systems enhancements and transformation initiatives, conducts root cause analysis of service delivery issues, and develops corrective and preventive solutions to ensure optimal system performance and usability. The role includes developing business cases for HR digital initiatives, driving automation and self-service solutions, and simplifying HR operations through process improvement and system optimization. Additionally, the role evaluates emerging HR technologies, ensures alignment with governance and compliance requirements, and collaborates across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and user-centric HR solutions that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

Key responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive analysis of HR processes and systems by identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities, and defining technology-driven solutions to enhance HR operations and employee experience across the organization
- Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and implement HR technology solutions and digital workflows that align with organizational objectives and support HR Digital Transformation initiatives
- Support and drive the implementation of HR systems enhancements and transformation programs, ensuring timely delivery, system effectiveness, and alignment with business requirements and operational goals
- Collaborate closely with HR Technology teams to optimize Oracle HCM and other HR platforms such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors, improving system performance, usability, and integration across Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, and Talent Management systems
- Conduct root cause analysis of HR service delivery issues, identify underlying system or process deficiencies, and implement corrective and preventive solutions to ensure consistent and reliable HR system performance
- Develop detailed business cases for HR digital initiatives by working with group HR and IT teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, cost-benefit analysis, and long-term value realization
- Drive automation, self-service solutions, and process simplification initiatives across HR operations, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance user experience
- Evaluate emerging HR technologies and tools, recommend innovative solutions, and ensure that all HR technology implementations align with governance, compliance requirements, and organizational policies
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate strong experience in HR Technology, HR Digital Transformation, or HR Systems implementation with proven ability to deliver technology-driven HR initiatives and transformation projects
- Possess hands-on expertise with HR platforms such as Oracle HCM, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors, including system configuration, optimization, and integration within enterprise environments
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of HR processes and systems including Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, and Talent Management systems, ensuring effective alignment of technology solutions with HR functional needs
- Apply experience in process improvement, system optimization, and HR transformation projects to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable and sustainable solutions
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including conducting root cause analysis, designing solutions, and driving continuous improvement in HR systems and processes
- Show capability to develop business cases, support decision-making processes, and contribute to strategic HR digital initiatives in collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders
- Operate effectively in cross-functional environments, managing multiple priorities and collaborating across HR, IT, and business teams to deliver integrated technology solutions
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, with the ability to apply academic knowledge to practical HR technology and transformation challenges
