Job description
The Manager - Retail Wealth Management at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is responsible for managing and developing high-value retail investment portfolios, providing expert advisory services, and delivering wealth solutions aligned with client objectives and market trends. The role encompasses portfolio strategy formulation, collaboration with product teams for proposition development, enabling relationship managers with tools and training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The manager drives performance analytics to monitor portfolio outcomes, identifies trends, and recommends optimization actions. The position also emphasizes continuous improvement and innovation in wealth solutions through market research, client feedback, and the application of financial insights, while supervising a team to maximize business performance and adherence to ADCB policies and procedures.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute portfolio strategies that align with client objectives and drive growth in assets under management (AUM) and annual premium equivalent (APE).
- Collaborate with product teams to design, enhance, and innovate investment and BancAssurance offerings to meet evolving client needs.
- Equip relationship managers (RMs) with tools, insights, and training to deliver high-quality investment advice and improve book quality.
- Act as a trusted advisor to high-value clients, delivering tailored investment proposals and ensuring clear understanding of risk and return.
- Monitor and manage regulatory compliance and risk, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards across all wealth management activities.
- Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend actions to optimize outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, organizing activities and ensuring team contributions meet business objectives.
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring employee adherence and delivery of required service standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, motivating the team to contribute to change programs and innovation projects in wealth management.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in wealth management or investment advisory within a banking or financial institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics; CFA or Financial Planning Designation Course from a reputable institute.
- Deep understanding of investment products including Mutual Funds, ETFs, Bonds, Equities, structured products, and leveraged solutions.
- Strong grasp of financial markets, portfolio management principles, and advisory best practices.
- Proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks in wealth management.
- Proven client engagement and advisory skills, with the ability to provide high-value investment guidance.
- Experience in leading and managing a team while implementing policies, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
