Job description
The Assistant Manager â Technology Sourcing at Emirates NBD (ENBD) plays a vital role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives for technology-related products and services across the Group. Based within the Group Procurement Divisionâs Strategic Sourcing Unit, this position focuses on achieving cost efficiency, supplier performance excellence, and compliance with internal and external procurement regulations. The role involves managing end-to-end sourcing processesâfrom vendor evaluation and negotiation to contract executionâwhile maintaining close alignment with business stakeholders and category leaders. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the technology supply market, capable of influencing sourcing decisions that deliver measurable value, efficiency, and innovation across ENBDâs regional operations.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end sourcing activities for technology products and services, including IT infrastructure, software, and telecom solutions
- Conduct vendor selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to ensure best-value outcomes aligned with ENBDâs sourcing objectives
- Collaborate with internal business units to define sourcing strategies and implementation plans that deliver measurable cost reductions and efficiency gains
- Ensure sourcing activities adhere to the Groupâs procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor stakeholder satisfaction metrics related to technology sourcing and procurement outcomes
- Partner with the Vendor Performance Management team to evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate documentation of sourcing decisions, supplier evaluations, and contract details to ensure audit readiness and transparency
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing spend data, market trends, and cost drivers to optimize supplier portfolios
- Contribute to category management excellence and implement best practices across all business segments and subsidiaries
- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations to support sourcing decisions and management approvals
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging technology vendors and alternative sourcing models
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sourcing function
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3â5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably within technology procurement (IT, software, telecom, or digital services)
- Strong understanding of the S2C (source-to-contract) process and cost optimization levers
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex technology agreements with vendors and service providers
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience using e-sourcing tools preferred
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Proactive mindset with interest and curiosity in emerging technology and procurement innovation
- Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance frameworks, and best practice sourcing methodologies
- Comfortable working with financial data and presenting recommendations to senior management
