Job description
The Operations Manager â MEA SPAC will oversee the day-to-day operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage departments, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to brand standards. Acting as the deputy to the Cluster General Manager when required, the role is responsible for maintaining high guest satisfaction levels, managing financial performance within operational departments, and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability among HeartistsÂź. The Operations Manager will balance operational execution with financial discipline while ensuring compliance with health, safety, sustainability, and company governance standards in line with Accorâs hospitality philosophy.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational performance of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage departments to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with brand standards and SOPs.
- Maintain operational excellence by ensuring hotel facilities, interiors, and exteriors under responsibility are well-maintained while controlling Repair & Maintenance costs within approved budgets.
- Drive financial performance by maximizing revenue opportunities, maintaining strict cost control over payroll and departmental expenses, and supporting cross-selling initiatives across operational areas.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly, implementing corrective actions and service recovery measures to convert dissatisfied guests into loyal repeat customers while ensuring Guest Satisfaction and Quality Assurance targets are met.
- Lead daily operational briefings with Department Heads, manage Duty Manager schedules, and assume Duty Manager responsibilities as required to ensure consistent leadership presence.
- Support the Cluster General Manager in preparing the Annual Budget and Investment Plan, reviewing operational performance, and implementing action plans to improve efficiency and guest experience.
- Conduct regular team training and development sessions to enhance technical skills, service delivery standards, and overall team engagement across departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, emergency procedures, sustainability initiatives, and confidentiality requirements in alignment with company policies.
- Deputize for the Cluster General Manager in their absence, assuming full operational responsibility for day-to-day business decisions while consulting on mid- and long-term strategic commitments.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 2 yearsâ experience as a Rooms Division Manager within the hospitality sector, with broader operational leadership experience preferred.
- Strong operational knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage functions within a hotel environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train cross-functional teams to achieve service excellence and financial targets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of effective guest complaint handling and service recovery.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, senior management, and local authorities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Quality Assurance, brand standards, and hotel compliance requirements including fire, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred, and additional languages such as German or Russian are advantageous.
- Professional demeanor, positive âcan-doâ attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and prior experience within the UAE hospitality sector preferred.
