Job description
Join Grant Thornton UAEās QRM team as a Monitoring Specialist, contributing to strategic, innovative, and quality services that support the firmās external client service excellence. This role entails overseeing the implementation and operation of the System of Quality Management (ISQM 1), conducting audit engagement reviews, and ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory standards. As part of a collaborative, purpose-driven team, youāll influence audit quality and regulatory readiness, while championing integrity and trust across engagements.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor the implementation and ongoing operation of the System of Quality Management (ISQM 1)
- Conduct regular reviews of audit engagements to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards
- Identify areas for improvement in audit quality and provide recommendations to engagement teams
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures
- Support the Director of QRM in preparing for and responding to regulatory inspections
- Provide training and guidance to audit teams on quality management and compliance matters
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to quality and risk management
- Prepare reports on the findings of monitoring activities and present them to senior management
Experience & skills
- Professional Qualification: ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in audit or quality management
- At least 2 years in a monitoring or compliance role
- Prior experience in a large professional services firm is mandatory
- Strong understanding of ISQM 1, IFRS, ISAs, and the IESBA Code of Ethics
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
- Experience dealing with UAE and international regulators is a plus
