Job description
Serve as SHE Specialist based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, ensuring the workplace complies with ChampionX and local regulatory Safety, Health, and Environmental standards. Follow and enforce corporate safety policies under Goal Zero principles, improving plant safety, health, and environmental performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives through the Quality Improvement Process and error-free operational practices. Oversee proper use of equipment and materials, drive culture of safety, and observe workplace SHE practices. Ensure timely completion of government and corporate safety, health, and environmental reporting via ERP systems. Maintain and implement SHEQ Management Systems and associated company documents. Organize, lead, and conduct external/internal audits for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Manage inspection programs, incident investigations, industrial hygiene, contractor qualification, and compliance reporting. Lead risk assessments, compile and analyze SHEQ statistics, and maintain confidentiality for sensitive matters. Represent the company in community or industry safety programs, support Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plans, and implement corrective actions to prevent hazards.

Key responsibilities
- Follow and enforce safety policies to maintain a safe workplace and drive Goal Zero culture, reporting safety observations and incidents.
- Support the Quality Improvement Process by planning strategies for error-free operations and promoting 'do it right the first time' principles.
- Observe and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures, proper equipment use, and material handling to enhance SHE practices.
- Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and ChampionX Safety, Health, and Environmental standards in Saudi Arabia.
- Complete all corporate and government safety, health, and environmental reporting accurately and timely using ERP systems.
- Manage Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and support Crisis Management Plans (CMP) to maintain operational readiness during emergencies.
- Oversee HSE training programs, ensuring compliance with company policy, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Implement and maintain SHEQ Management Systems documents, conduct internal and external audits for ISO certifications, and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead investigation of workplace incidents and injuries, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Inspect regional facilities to detect and mitigate health and safety hazards, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure completion.
- Oversee Industrial Hygiene programs and Contractor Qualification, Evaluation, and Safety Programs, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Compile, analyze, and report SHEQ statistics and incident data, preparing monthly reports and maintaining confidentiality.
- Represent ChampionX in community and industry safety groups to promote safety best practices and organizational reputation.
Experience & skills
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with 3 years’ experience in oil and gas or manufacturing industry.
- Experience in internal auditing, maintenance of ISO standards, documentation, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal business systems.
- Proficiency in English language for professional communication.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across diverse SHE responsibilities.
- Prior experience demonstrating strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
- Experience in implementing HSE training programs, conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
