The Engineer/Core Projects Control (Nafis) in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, is responsible for overseeing and guiding the successful implementation of Core projects by maintaining project timelines, objectives, and established processes while enhancing deployment procedures to achieve and sustain ISO standards compliance. The role requires preparation and updating of essential project reports to ensure transparent and accurate project status updates, collaboration with stakeholders for effective governance and issue resolution, and continuous improvement of project control practices through identification of enhancement opportunities. The position involves providing professional support and guidance to team members to ensure a smooth, efficient, and collaborative project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and coordination between project teams and stakeholders. It also includes monitoring and analyzing project performance, identifying potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies, conducting regular project reviews, and delivering constructive feedback to improve outcomes. The role requires staying updated with industry trends and best practices in Network Engineering, Network architecture design, Network construction, Network protocols & standards, and Virtual Network Functions, and incorporating new ideas into project control processes while applying ISO standards, project management methodologies, Microsoft Project, and other project management tools and software to ensure high-quality project execution and governance within network-focused engineering environments.

- Govern and support the execution of Core projects while ensuring adherence to timelines, objectives, and established project processes
- Maintain and enhance deployment procedures to achieve and sustain ISO compliance standards across all project activities
- Prepare and update essential project reports to provide accurate and transparent project status visibility to stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective project governance and resolve concerns, risks, and operational challenges
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project control practices by identifying inefficiencies and implementing enhancements
- Provide professional support and guidance to team members to ensure efficient collaboration and smooth project lifecycle execution
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between project teams and stakeholders across all phases of project delivery
- Monitor and analyze project performance to identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Conduct regular project reviews and deliver constructive feedback to improve project outcomes and governance quality
- Stay updated with industry trends and integrate best practices in Network Engineering and project control methodologies into execution
Experience & skills
- A Bachelorβs degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field is required to ensure foundational knowledge of engineering principles, systems thinking, and technical project environments relevant to core project control functions
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of project management methodologies is required, including the ability to apply structured frameworks for planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex engineering projects
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar applications is required to effectively schedule tasks, track progress, allocate resources, and generate accurate project reporting outputs
- Familiarity with ISO standards and compliance requirements is preferred, with the ability to understand, maintain, and enhance deployment procedures aligned with quality management and audit-ready processes
- Solid knowledge of Network Engineering principles is required, including network architecture design, network construction, network protocols and standards, and virtual network functions within telecommunications or IT infrastructure environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability is required to identify project risks, evaluate performance data, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies in dynamic project environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to ensure effective collaboration with stakeholders, coordination across project teams, and clear reporting of project status and governance updates
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining priorities, timelines, and deliverables is required, demonstrating strong organizational capability and structured execution across concurrent initiatives
