Job description
Irrigation systems on Dubai infrastructure projects are only as good as their installation, and this Parsons inspector keeps a close watch on how that work is done. Site conditions are checked first to confirm they suit the designed planting and external works. From there, continuous surveillance covers construction and temporary works against approved methods, codes, standards and specifications. Contractors will look to you for practical advice on construction matters. Non-conforming work is identified, documented and reported, with corrective actions coordinated and resolutions agreed. Engineering records, inspection logs, activity reports and progress reports are maintained throughout, and calculations, graphs and charts are prepared as needed. As-built drawings get your input, and completed works are inspected, snagged and handed over to the operating authority. Site safety procedures apply to every inspection. At least 5 years supervising irrigation, planting and infrastructure works, ideally in the UAE, is required, along with an engineering degree or diploma.
