Job description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering high-end hospitality new build projects in Dubai, overseeing all phases from project definition through to completion. The role involves managing stakeholders, leading multidisciplinary teams, establishing project controls, and ensuring delivery in line with financial, contractual, and quality targets. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, the Senior Project Manager provides strategic oversight, risk management, and subject matter expertise to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and in-depth knowledge of industry best practices across both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

Key responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and delivery strategy to ensure successful execution
- Establish detailed project delivery plans, governance frameworks, and control mechanisms
- Lead and manage project teams, including performance management of internal team members
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking systems, highlighting variances and implementing corrective actions
- Oversee both pre-contract and post-contract phases including procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, presenting mitigation strategies to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert advice and regular progress updates to senior management and clients
- Foster collaboration across internal departments and external stakeholders to meet project objectives
- Review and improve project processes and policies, recommending enhancements aligned with best practice
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Ensure delivery aligns with corporate vision, quality standards, and client expectations
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Professional project management certification or accreditation (e.g., PMP or equivalent preferred)
- Proven experience managing high-end hospitality new build projects
- Extensive experience across both pre-contract and post-contract project phases
- Strong contract administration and commercial management experience
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing project teams
- Deep knowledge of construction industry best practices
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
