The MEA Bid Management Specialist at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end bid and proposal process for strategic, regional, and Global RFQ opportunities across the Middle East & Africa region. The role manages the full lifecycle of bids including RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses, ensuring delivery of high-quality, competitive, and commercially sound proposals aligned with DHL standards, customer requirements, and regional go-to-market strategies. The position requires analyzing tender documents to extract customer requirements, risks, and compliance factors; developing bid plans, timelines, and stakeholder responsibilities; and preparing structured, customer-centric proposals that communicate clear value propositions. The specialist facilitates cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Product, Solutions Design, Legal, IT, and Finance to gather accurate operational, technical, and commercial inputs, ensuring alignment with regional pricing frameworks, service capabilities, and commercial governance processes. The role maintains and updates the MEA bid content library, templates, standardized materials, and Bid tool, ensuring brand voice consistency, compliance with legal requirements and data protection protocols, and adherence to pricing frameworks. It includes monitoring bid KPIs such as win rate, submission quality, and turnaround time, conducting post-bid reviews, maintaining a lessons-learned database, and driving continuous improvement of regional bid management processes. The position serves as the single point of contact for bid-related queries in the MEA region, coordinates presentations and solution documentation for clients, and ensures compliance with commercial governance and approval processes within the logistics, transport, and supply chain solutions environment of DHL Global Forwarding.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of bids including RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses across the MEA region by analyzing tender documents, extracting customer requirements, identifying risks and compliance factors, and developing structured bid plans and timelines to ensure on-time submission of high-quality proposals.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Operations, Product, Solutions Design, Legal, IT, and Finance to gather accurate operational, technical, and commercial inputs and ensure alignment with regional pricing frameworks, service capabilities, and DHL standards.
- Prepare and structure compelling, customer-centric proposals that clearly communicate value propositions, customize proposal narratives and solution descriptions, and ensure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and compliance across all submissions.
- Maintain and update the MEA bid content library, templates, standardized materials, and Bid tool while ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to data protection protocols and corporate standards.
- Support commercial governance by coordinating pricing inputs, ensuring adherence to approval processes, identifying bid risks, recommending mitigation actions, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and pricing frameworks.
- Monitor bid KPIs including win rate, submission quality, and turnaround time, conduct post-bid reviews, maintain a lessons-learned database, and drive continuous improvement of regional bid management processes and tools.
- Serve as the single point of contact for bid-related queries within the MEA region, communicate bid progress transparently to internal stakeholders, and coordinate presentations, clarifications, and solution documentation for clients.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction across Sales, Solutions, and Operations teams by delivering commercially sound, compliant, and competitive proposals aligned with DHL Global Forwarding’s regional go-to-market strategies and logistics, transport, and supply chain solutions offerings.
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in Pricing and bid management and proposal development within the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
- Exhibit strong understanding of logistics, transport, and supply chain solutions in the context of regional and global RFQ opportunities.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI for proposal preparation, pricing analysis, reporting, and bid KPI monitoring.
- Show experience managing RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes including tender analysis, risk identification, compliance evaluation, and alignment with commercial governance and pricing frameworks.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Operations, Product, Solutions Design, Legal, IT, and Finance to deliver competitive and compliant proposals.
- Ensure compliance with commercial governance, approval processes, legal requirements, and data protection protocols in all bid submissions.
- Deliver measurable outcomes including bid win rate, on-time submission rate, proposal quality scores, compliance with pricing frameworks, stakeholder satisfaction, and quality and accuracy of content library updates.
