Job description
Responsible for overseeing audiovisual operations and ensuring the successful technical execution of events within the hospitality environment. Manages the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of a wide range of AV systems including sound systems, projectors, lighting equipment, and video conferencing technologies. Coordinates closely with event planners, hotel departments, and external clients to ensure all audiovisual requirements are delivered accurately and on schedule. Supervises AV technicians and provides leadership, training, and guidance to maintain high operational standards. Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, tested, and configured before events to guarantee seamless performance. Troubleshoots technical issues quickly during live events to minimize disruptions and maintain service excellence. Maintains inventory of AV equipment and manages scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation for multiple simultaneous events. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational abilities, and effective communication skills to deliver high-quality guest experiences and support the hotel's event operations.

- Oversee daily audiovisual operations and ensure successful technical delivery of events within the hotel or venue
- Coordinate and manage the setup, configuration, and operation of AV equipment including sound systems, projectors, lighting systems, and video conferencing tools
- Supervise and guide AV technicians by providing leadership, training, and operational support
- Work closely with event planners, clients, and internal departments to understand event technical requirements and deliver appropriate AV solutions
- Ensure all audiovisual equipment is tested, maintained, and functioning properly prior to events
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly during live events to ensure seamless execution
- Manage equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation
- Organize and coordinate AV team schedules and assignments for multiple events
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures when handling audiovisual equipment
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to improve event production quality and efficiency
Experience & skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in audiovisual operations, event technology, or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment including sound systems, projectors, lighting systems, and video conferencing platforms
- Experience coordinating audiovisual setups for corporate events, conferences, and hospitality functions
- Proven leadership experience supervising AV technicians or technical teams
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for resolving technical issues during live events
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, event planners, and internal teams
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities for managing equipment, schedules, and event logistics
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously
- Basic knowledge of event production workflows and hospitality service standards
- Diploma or degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, IT, or related field is preferred
